Admitting Clerk
I’ve worked as an operator and admitting clerk in the emergency department area at Cushing Regional Hospital for seven years. Being able to help people makes me feel like I’m truly making a difference in the world. Ten years ago, I owned a cleaning business and never would have believed that I’d be working in a hospital. But here I am, and I’m loving every minute of it.
I am especially appreciative of everything that the hospital has to offer their employees. The insurance coverage is unlike any other plan I’ve been involved in, and the 401(k) program allows you to plan for your retirement. There are also multiple opportunities for advancement, but I truly love what I do, and I’m more than satisfied in my position, with my job responsibilities and with my co-workers.
I’m raising four grandchildren and Cushing Regional Hospital gives me the flexibility to earn a living while being able to care for small children. I just love working here and I’m excited to come to work every day. I enjoy the people I work with – we’re a family, and we support one another.
