Antonia Booth
Dietary Aide
I’ve worked at Cushing Regional Hospital for so many years that it’s hard to remember how long it’s been. The time has literally flown by faster than I can count. But before I moved to the United States, I worked for a hospital in Mexico while I went to nursing school. Although I decided not to pursue a career path in nursing, I’ve been able to lead a successful career in the United States while remaining in the healthcare profession.
As a dietary aide, I work on electronic diet sheets to ensure patients’ meals meet any and all dietary restrictions they might have. I love that my responsibilities allow me to learn more about this field and about the importance of proper nutrition and nourishment. I also occasionally serve food to fellow employees, which allows me to get to know those in other areas of the hospital.
Cushing Regional Hospital is close to my home, and it’s a good place to work. Thanks to my job, I have a better life and it keeps improving. It’s so different from anywhere else I’ve worked. It’s changed me. I’ve learned so much while receiving great benefits and building lasting relationships.
